Virgin was fantastic, but it’s been a steady slide ever since. This record is super ambitious and for the obvious effort and creativity poured into it, it deserves to be much better than the actual product is.
It’s a mediocre record with all the makings of musical blue-balls.

Short Winded Review: The Antlers - "Burst Apart"
Really gorgeous record. It’s definitely not Hospice, but that’s why I love this record so much…..it’s not trying to be Hospice. It’s progression without losing that certain something I fell in love with about the Antlers to begin with.
Also - nobody dies from cancer on this one. So that’s always a plus.

Short Winded Review: Wild Beasts - "Smother"
Quite honestly one of the most well put-together, meaningful and creative records I’ve heard in a really long time. Every once in a while I absolutely click with a record and I get a certain inescapable emotional feeling.
It’s fucking gold from start to finish.

is that Bieber will turn his career as legit as Justin Timberlake’s, when all i was hoping for was Lief Garrett’s.

My terrible analogy of this record:
It’s like the Varsity quarterback from ‘93 that still goes to all the games w/ his letter jacket on.
or better yet……it’s a made for TV sequel.
either way….
shit’s weak.
